Fixing the Problem: Crowdstrike

Follow the simple steps below to get your Windows devices back online.
Step 1: Reboot
Yep, you're reading correctly, the old 'off-and-on' is the first thing to try.
Whether you can do this by clicking restart / shut down, or need to hold down the power button until your Windows PC turns off, the classic "Have you tried turning it off and on?" is the first step.
Some people have done this as many as 15 times(!) and the fix has been pushed through, getting people's Windows PCs functioning again.
Still not fixed? Then keep reading...
Step 2: Boot into Safe Mode or Windows Recovery
Remember, a hard shutdown (holding the power button) can lead to data loss. But you're probably over that by now and you have a backup right...right?...
Note: If you’ve encrypted your device, you’ll need your BitLocker key to start in safe mode.
1: Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds to force your computer to shut down.
2: Once your computer is completely shut down, turn it back on.
3: As soon as you see the manufacturer's logo, press and hold the F11 key.
4: Keep holding the F11 key until you see the Choose an option screen.
Step 3: Open File Explorer...
...and navigate to %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike (you can just copy and paste that bit into the File Explorer address bar.
